BLUE MAX KART CLUB DAVIS, CA

About Blue Max Kart Club

CLUB INFORMATION:  Blue Max started as a mini-bike track in the 60’s and has progressed into one of the longest continuously operated kart tracks/clubs in Northern California.  A great feature of the track is that it is close to I-80 and the town of Davis, yet far enough out to keep from offending neighbors with the sound of kart motors.

GOALS of Blue Max include:

Provide a quality karting experience for the whole family
- Davis' Blue Max Club has been running for nearly forty years. It is a small club where you can get lots of quality practice and tuning time. It is a wonderful place to come and teach your children about go kart racing.
Provide a safe place to have fun and compete - Safety is important to all our members. When practicing please remember not to mix very fast karts with slower ones. At no time should TaG or shifter karts be on the track with Kid Karts. When practice is busy on the weekends group karts and drivers by speed and capability, and give kids 8 to 10 minutes of practice at the bottom or top of each hour.
Keep karting affordable - We strive to make this an affordable hobby and have maintained our low cost for membership and entry fees. Check out the other tracks and then take a look at Davis for excellent overall value.

Reclaim the land with natural grasses, flowers and trees.

The Track

The track is approximately one-half of a mile inside distance, with 11 turns, multiple apex’s and two straights.  The front start/finish straight is 275 feet long, leading into a right, left, left turn sequence into turns three and four and “the sweeper”.  The sweeper flows into the “concrete corner” with a hard left, hard right, left  chicane that leads into the back straight, about 300 feet in length.  From there, the “hairpin” then a hard right and final left turn brings you back to the front straight.  These 11 turns take 29 to 48 seconds depending on the class of kart and experience of the driver.  Davis is a challenging “driver’s track” that presents a challenge while enhancing driving skills.

Kid Karts
When busy, the track is cleared at the top of each hour for kid karts. This is controlled practice and no other kart classes are allowed on the track with the kid karts.
