Joining Blue Max Kart Club
There is a couple of ways to join Blue Max Kart Club. Start by reading and accepting the   BLUE MAX KART CLUB 2008 MEMBER AND NON-MEMBER RULES. Click on "Accept" to take you to the 2008 Membership Application  page.  

BLUE MAX KART CLUB 2008 MEMBER AND NON-MEMBER RULES

The Board of Directors has approved the following rules to keep karting a family sport at Blue Max Kart Club.  Please read the following rules and then click on “accept” to take you to the sign-up page sign the Rule agreement and Application and return to the Secretary.  Members will not be allowed to race until the Club Secretary receives this signed form.

Family Membership is defined as self, spouse, children, step children and custodial children.

All club members must have a current Blue Max Kart Club membership card in their possession while using the club facilities.  Members must present membership card to any other member upon request.

Everyone (4) four years old and over must purchase a wristband for insurance purposes, on race day.

No skateboards, bicycles, roller skates or roller blades are allowed at the track during race hours.

All dogs must be on leashes at all times.

No open fires allowed on the premises; only in approved fire pits.

No loud music permitted in the pit area.

All members must have a fire extinguisher and a pit mat to collect fuel and oil leaks in their pit area.

ABSOLUTELY NO FUN KARTS ALLOWED AT ANY TIME!

Sportsmanship:  There shall be no throwing of helmets, neck collars or other equipment; displays of anger, loud exchanges with other drivers or officials; inappropriate language or gestures.  Drivers are responsible for the actions of their crew and guests. The driver shall loose three (3) positions for the 1st violation of this rule. The Race Director shall determine the penalty for continued violations of this rule.
 
New drivers and guests without karting experience must have X’s on their helmet and rear number plate.  Those who do not follow this rule will be asked not to drive for the remainder of the day.

Open Practice Rules: All IKF rules apply to practice days.  ALL DRIVERS MUST use an approved full coverage helmet (SNELL m2000 or better) (Small children will be allowed with DOT approved helmets), neck collar, high top shoes, heavy scuff resistant jacket and pants (jeans OK, NO T-shirts), and leather/nylon gloves. ALL CHILDREN 11 and younger MUST wear a SFI certified chest protector when operating a kart on the track.

The minimum age for driving during open practice is 5 years oldPARENTS: You are expected to keep the faster karts off the track when your child is practicing.

Drivers must enter the course only when there are no karts within a safe distance and they must put one hand in the air as they enter the course as to signal other drivers they are not yet up to speed.  When slowing down and/or exiting the track, drivers are to put one hand in the air to signal other drivers that they are slowing.

No dumping of hazardous waste allowed at the facility. Hazardous waste is defined as oil, tires, fuel and fuel containers. Any member or non-member caught dumping hazardous waste the 1st offense will be a fine of $250.00 and the 2nd offense the membership will be revoked for the rest of the year.

No ALCOHOL consumption is permitted on the premises on practice days until after 6PM and not until the final checkered flag of the last race on race days. Non-Race day; 1st offense is a warning, 2nd offense is a fine of $100 and removal from the track for the day, 3rd offense is your membership revoked and for non-members unable to use the facility for one calendar year. Race Day; Violators will lose the day’s points and will be disqualified from the day’s race(s) and asked to leave immediately. Drivers are responsible for actions of crew and guest.

NO ILLEGAL DRUGS permitted on the premises.

Club workers for IKF races: To receive a maximum of 100 pts. Towards 2008 Club Championship points for either of the IKF race weekends, anyone can represent the club driver as a worker for the IKF race if the club driver is not driving in the IKF race; just let a board member know who will be working for which driver, so it can be documented with the secretary.

Check Policy: All checks must have the kart driver’s name and a current phone number. Returned checks will be charged a $25 returned check fee. After two returned checks you will be asked to pay in cash or certified funds only.
